About: BBS

On this blog you will find, and perhaps read, the most pressing thoughts and experiences I have on my travels/move from Australia to London. I’m not going to tell you exactly where I came from but if you want to guess: it has a river, trains, large buildings, poor people, rich people, people who are neither rich nor poor, an excellent German sausage stand, illiterate teenagers, and is sometimes referred to as Melbourne.

More than just being a title filled with hilarity, Boiled Blog Syndrome is positively bursting with rich, creamy meaning. You see, one day after about two years of full time professional work, I realised that if I didn’t change my life dramatically I knew exactly where I’d be in 5 or even 10 years time. Considering I was only 24 at the time, the thought nearly made me soil my undercrackers. As I’ve said before, settling down is some people’s thing (or ‘thang’ as they say on the street). That’s fine for them, but it ain’t my thung (as they say in New Zealand). So I did somethöng (Germany) about it.

You’ve no doubt guessed that I will try and often fail to be witty in writing my inane thoughts on this site. I can only hope you find them any or all of these:

  • Slightly humourous
  • Moderately hilarious
  • A positive “laugh-riot”
  • Helpful for your travels
  • At least somewhat interesting
  • An alternative to watching “Two and a half Men”

If not, you’ll just have to find somethθng (Ancient Greece) else to read.

Thanks for your time. Don’t take anything I say too seriously. J
